Osmium in jewellery

Gavin and Lorraine have been selected to be the first UK Jeweller to design and stock Osmium. Osmium is not only the rarest metal in the world, but in its crystalline form is undisputedly the most beautiful jewellery metal in the world, which sparkles so brilliantly.

Osmium is only available from trained specialist dealers around the world, and it can only be delivered to customers with a certificate of authenticity and an eight digit Osmium identification code (OIC) from the Osmium Institute in Germany. Each piece of osmium is as unique as a thumb print, it cannot be replicated or cloned. On a single square millimetre the accuracy actually is already 10.000 times higher in recognition than the human fingerprint.

Due to the extremely limited quantity available in the world, investors are speculating that osmium is an excellent long-term tangible asset, either in its crystallin discs and bars or as part of a piece of jewellery. They predict that this, combined with it rarity, will make it difficult for jewellers and customers to acquire in future years.

Gavin and Lorraine both completed rigorous training and Gavin has already been busy designing his first collection of Osmium jewellery pieces, of which one set is located at their showroom on The Pantiles, the other is travelling around the world being presented at leading jewellery exhibitions.
