FAQs

Why should I buy jewellery from you?

Gavin Marsh creates jewellery by hand in a studio located at Salomons Estate in Tunbridge Wells. None of the work is outsourced and sent overseas. Unlike many others who design their jewellery pieces and send it off elsewhere for better economy of their business, the jewellery you create with us are made in one place. Gavin dedicates his own time and skills in creating each piece which means you can be sure that the jewellery is handled with care and with high quality standards using precious metals and stones. Supporting local business like The Diamond Setter means you are supporting local talents, supporting the environment as we have lesser carbon footprint than imported and mass produced jewellery. Local businesses are the backbone of the economy and it is more crucial now than ever to patronize our own talents and our own craftsmanship.

How do I clean my jewellery?

A simple warm water and mild dish soap will achieve light cleaning. For a deeper clean, use an ultrasonic or ask your local jeweller to assist. Store your jewellery in its original packaging and ensure they are dried properly if you clean them at home. Perfume, chlorine and cleaning products can cause damage and tarnish your jewellery so we recommend protecting your jewellery pieces from these elements. Our full jewellery cleaning guide is here.
